The Cuthills Vineyards is one of the famous vineyards in Nebraska, it is also the first winery of Nebraska as well. The Cuthills Vineyards was established by Ed Swanson in the year 1985. This vineyard is located on a 15 and half acres of land and is known for having around 50 varieties of grapes. This was actually a barn which was developed by John Koeppe in the year 1920. This barn was remodeled and redesigned by Ed Swanson. This vineyard served as a winery from 1994 onwards.
The Cuthills Vineyards has been designed in such a way that the tourists can roam around the whole vineyard. The vineyard also provides the tourists with brochures which are a sort of guide for them. There are gift shops as well as wine tasting rooms here. In the gift shops you can find variety of wines that are made here and buy them. In the wine tasting rooms you can taste the wines prepared here and have a feel of it.
The Cuthills Vineyards have won various national and international awards for the the best quality of wine that it has produced over the years. Since the year 1995, Cuthills Vineyards have received 80 awards in various national and international competitions. These includes Best of Class, Gold and Double Gold. The winery is famous for producing around 6,000 gallons of wine.
The Cuthills Vineyards not only provides you with various kinds of wines but it also offers you opportunity to organize dinners, meetings as well as weddings and gatherings also. The vineyard is open from May to December. It is opened from Wednesday to Saturday and the timings are from 11am to 6pm.
