Stuhr Museum in the Grand Island of the Prairie Pioneer houses collections and exhibits that represent the culture and heritage of old America. Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway facilitates a wide array of adventure sports like hiking, horse racing, floating, boating, and camping. The Western Heritage Museums exhibits a large collection of American Indian artifacts. Prairie Pioneer and Custer County Museum are other noted museums that fall along the highway.
